Over the next four weeks leading up to our 2010/11 Season Opener production of Carmina Burana, we will post a weekly video blog series highlighting the talented artists involved in all aspects of this multifaceted production.
For the first installment, we sat down with Ballet Austin Artistic Director Stephen Mills to discuss his vision and inspiration for the project, and what makes Carmina Burana such a unique experience in the world of dance. Check out the video above!
And don’t forget to check back for the upcoming videos, featuring interviews with, among others, Craig Hella Johnson, Director of Conspirare, the Grammy®-nominated choral group that will join with the Austin Symphony Orchestra in providing the stunning accompaniment for the production, as well as Peter Bay, conductor of the Austin Symphony.
